Greeting cards and another true story....

I have been filling in at the fabric store again and working quite a bit so I haven't made too much in the last few days, but I had a little bit of time this afternoon so I whipped up a couple of cards. I have made cards in the past, but I usually don't do them. These are nicer than the ones I made before so I guess making all the other stuff helps. There is a new paper store on the north end of the island and they had lots of artsy type papers so that was my inspiration. I also did some scrapbooking the other night and that was kind of fun. I hardly do it anymore. At Sherry's party she told another "true" story and I think the object is to share one of your "more stupider" moments...(yes I know, stupider is not a real word)..Ahhh, I have so many of them, being a giant klutz, but leaving the klutziness out of the equation, I will just go for stupid, really stupid....Last winter I went to Utah to visit my sister and I flew there. She and her husband are there cause he is in the Air Force and he is stationed at Hill Air Force Base. While I was there, he was scheduled to come home after being in Iraq for the second time...Everyone was pretty excited and at the last minute I decided we needed cake and balloons...I think she was out buying sexy underwear or something unmentionable, anyway....I borrowed her car, a dark green BMW and went to the Albertsons. I was worried about getting lost the whole time I was in the store. I got what I needed, went out of the store into the dark night and walked to the car...I found the car and put the key in the lock and it wouldn't work....I tried again ...wouldn't work....tried again and some guy in my sisters car beats on the window and says, "hey lady what do you think your doing...?" I wondered what he was doing in my sisters car and I yelled" I am trying to open the door. what are you doing in Julies car?" he said, "this is my car....." I was like, "OH CRAP, HOW EMBARRASSING!, so I told him, "Sorry, your BMW looks just like my sisters car.." He sadly shook his head I am pretty sure implying that I was a complete nutcase and told me., "lady, this car is a Cadillac"......Cadillac, BMW....they look the same don't they? Well, duh........

OMG Melinda, that is way to funny!! I would have died. I've gone up to the wrong car before but fortunately nobody was in it. That is so funny!! Doesn't a Cadillac and a BMW look the same??? I don't know, I mean I didn't even know that Oregan had a coast line!

I'm dying here!!

Hey Melinda - I've done that too! I was wondering how that dog got in my car! Luckily there wasn't a person in it. :) Love your cards, gorgeous! We'll have to trade postcards one of these days...

I love your stories!!(the streaking one made me giggle). One of my good friends left a craft show to go out and pick up some supplies, and as he was driving to the hardware store, he saw an empty McDonalds bag on the floor of the truck. He couldn't remember eating McDonalds in the past few days and then he looked around the truck and realized that IT WASN'T HIS TRUCK!!! but the key worked and it looked exactly the same. The funny part of the story is that he just continued on his errands, and then brought the truck back and parked it. We're not sure if the owner ever noticed.....

way funny! I actually got IN someone else's Explorer with our 2 kids. Then we looked around and said 'yikes, this isn't dad's car!'
we jumped out and ran off giggling.....I STILL don't know how I got in the car....I'd swear it was locked and I used our key.....hmmmm.
