Easter Basket swap party......
Miss Rhea hostessed an Easter basket swap and today is the swap party where all the links will be posted so we can eyeball all the beautiful goodies that were given and received.....Rhea's blog is here...
http://sweetnshabbyroses.blogspot.com/2010/04/easter-basket-swap-party.html
She has a blog list of all 71 participants and I plan on spending some time looking at all the Easter goodness...
So welcome and happy Saturday before Easter!
The baskets were made using yogurt cups and imagination, then we were to include 5 items along with them...We each had two partners....
My partners are Kathy Owen of http://lilbitoldlilbitnew.blogspot.com and Denise Fontaine of http://couturedepapiere.blogspot.com....
Kathy loves lavender so here is what I sent her...
a little lavender fabric basket and an egg ornament to match....
I made both ladies a little Easter canvas and a painted easel...A chocolate bunny decoration and a Lindt chocolate bunny.....and a couple of small little Easter pincushions with little button topped pins.....
Here is Denise's little pink fabric basket and this shows her egg ornament and the decorative chocolate bunny.....It looks so real....yummmm
I bundled all the little pretties into a rubbermaid container and then wrapped them up.....Here they are ready to go, each with a handmade Easter tag.....
I just heard from Denise by email and she is having storm problems so I haven't received her package but she got mine and likes it...
Kathy sent me the most wonderful box of goodies...I am thrilled!
The little basket she sent me is made with foil and a vintage hankie and has the cutest little bluebird sitting on top......
Look at all this wonderful stuff! A beautiful black and silver bracelet with a dangling cross, a little black treasure box, a candy nightlight , a litle pink notebook with a pen and the most adorable yellow lemon chocolate chick ...( right after I took the picture I ate him and the lemon chocolate it wonderful Kathy!) Her husband picked out the little chicken at a candy store and I am so glad he did....she also included some pink raffle tickets, cute pink ribbon and white rickrack which I will use on some kind of project....Thank you so much Kathy for your generosity....It was really fun trading surprises with you...Thank you so much Miss Rhea for hostessing too...Happy Easter to you all......

How fun! We do this with stockings at Christmas with our chatroom friends! It's a great idea to do Easter baskets. I'll have to see if they want to try that one next year!
