Row fixed and my 3rd of 4 Ufo's

I got the row fixed tonight so I thought I would post it.....I chose stars because I think there will be so many different ways to do them...I would love paper piecing since it is an art that I haven't mastered....it is on my list of things to learn, but the list is long so it may be awhile.....Barb who is hosting ( http://bejeweledquiltsbybarb.blogspot.com ) asked if she could use Samoan fabric....HECK YEAH....I want it to be fun and bright and unique......
I also pulled out a UFO and I went and bought batting and backing fabric so I can get it done and call it done....This was a block of the month thing from a local quilt store back in 2006.....it uses some Asian fabric and Michael Miller fairy fabrics...neither are really my thing but I enjoyed doing the blocks....The reason I haven't finished it? I did have two more blocks and I wanted one in the right top corner of the border and one in the bottom left.....I lost a block.....this is after I built up the top and bottom borders to accommodate them....I HATE STUFF LIKE THIS.......this is what happens when you move too much...so, tomorrow I am going to look one more time and if I cant find it I am going to do something different on the sides. Right now I feel like it is big and out of control, but hopefully when it is done I will feel good about it...I don't even know what I am doing with the dumb thing.....

I also have a picture of a beautiful picture frame and a handmade card set that I won in OWOH.....I am so embarrassed to say that I thought I had saved the emails from the people who made them...I thanked them and deleted their emails....I am going to post them and if they were made by you, PLEASE let me know so I can acknowledge and give you credit.....I know Dianne made the frame and the card set came from The Netherlands...Aren't they beautiful?

Today my life changed......not in a bad way, in a busy way....I have been doing child care for my sister and watching little Jace who is 18 months old....today was the first day that I also started watching my daughters kids too....So I have Jace, 18 months, Trace, who is a year this week and Andrew who is 4....I will also have Olivia who is 8 when school is out...Is it any wonder I am a scatterbrain....Between the Jace and Trace thing and the chasing the little kids it is crazy nutso here...Thank gosh for the play room upstairs!!!! I am proud of my daughter and happy to help her though....This is really the first job she has ever had since being a mom and she is really trying...She got on full time at Lowes and I think it will be great for her self esteem...This time last year, I didn't even know if she was alive and I was raising two of the kids by myself....So the moral of the story is, "Miracles do happen"....Our little family is living one....it's awesome so being a little bit addlepated is worth it!

Melinda, you are sooooo busy, how you have time to craft I'll never know??! I'm so pleased to hear about your daughter and I wish her all the best.
I love your stars, so cool to see the effect of the different colours on the same pattern, fab! Mx

I'm glad things are looking up for your daughter, which (as all us moms know) means things are better for you, too. As moms we are always stressed when our kids aren't doing well, so it's great for EVERYONE when things improve!!!

"mom" hardest word in the english language to live up too.....good to see that things have turned the corner and good things are happening. Prayers that they continue.

You have a nice little daycare going on there at your house ;). Those kids can sure keep you busy. Sounds like you are putting the playroom to good use.
