Dress up February....

After four days of the most horrible flu on earth, even a paper dress was hard to manage...But I did it and I love it...The dress I wore on Valentines Day was somewhat similar, so it inspired me.....It was black and white dots with a halter style top and a full skirt....No butterfly though or pink glitter but I thought just plain would be too boring...

I noticed when I went to look at all the other dresses again, there were a lot of them that I hadnt seen so I am showing my January newspaper dress too...I think I will do this monthly..The challenge is to make a wardrobe and a dress a month for a year..The hostess is Margaret at http://aliceandcamilla.blogspot.com
Go see some beautiful dresses and come play, it's not too late...

After I finally get caught up on projects I am going to make a real dress out of newspaper...I already have a pattern made up and I have been anxious to start it....I saw it as a challenge on Project Runway and thought, "I can do that..." I think, maybe......We will see.....

Sorry you had a flu.....I always get sick after a vacation that involves flying on an airplane....I think it's the cabin air. CUTE dresses you showed here.

First off, I'm sorry you're sick! Get better soon, or as my son used to say when he was little "get all welled up!"

Secondly, I LOVE LOVE love your dresses! What an adorable thing to do..I'm thinking about this but I am soo commitment phobic..I may just do this on my own and show when I've completed one..or not..who knows!
Thanks for sharing your talents with us all, you're an inspiration :-)

I love both your dresses. They are so innovative. I especially like how you sewed lace on the bottom of each. That gave it the added embellishment it is lacking in mine.

I really love February's dress neckline. You did a fantastic job improvising from the original pattern. Really a very nice addition to the mix. And your belt has the bling that certainly adds to the overall sparkle of the dress.

I love your February dress! I want to do a black and white at some stage this year as well, I rather like the contrast. Super super cool wardrobe too (if I haven't already said!) Margaret
