Friday Night Sew In !

Tonight is the March Friday night Sew in...I have'nt got to participate before, and I am excited to be a part of it...Click on the button on the sidebar to find out more and see a list of all the participants....
You decide on a project, get all comfy in your jammies and sew away and then post your project on Saturday...The project that I will be working on is a Downy Touch of Comfort quilt...This is the neatest program....Downy, the fabric softener is sponsoring and helping to get ten thousand homemade quilts to childrens hospitals around the U.S. ...You go to their website and sign up and they send you everything but the batting and thread to make a childs quilt...I have seen three quilts and the fabric is always bright and colorful and fun to work with...it even includes a label to sew on the back....here is the link to the site.

Here is the quilt kit that I received...The pieces are all cut out and ready to sew when you get the kit....

Happy Friday Night Sew In!!!

What a great idea! Have fun sewing in your jammies! I occasionally do that during the day when I just don't feel like getting dressed. Doesn't happen often, though. I may not actually have an office to go to out of the house, but I find I need to act like I do.

Anyway, enjoy your Friday Night Sew-In and your weekend! Hope you have something fun planned!

Hugs,
Tamerie

P.S. Did you tackle the zipper yet?

I love the fabrics you got for your Downy QFK quilt, too. Mine were definitely "boyish" fabrics...and yours are for a girl. They have sent wonderful fabrics to everyone I've seen so far.

What an awesome thing for Downey to do, the quilts and stories are wonderful. I made several quilts for Victory Junction Gang Camp a few years ago and now am doing the ones for blind orphans in Sierra Leone. Two down, 52 more to go...LOL! They will get done. You are a sweetheart Melinda!
